Initial load times can take 5-30 minutes. We were able to reduce download size dramatically, but you have to build your caches. This is only the case in the first loading screen after you install the mod for the first time.
No. When put on Steam Workshop, some users would experience half downloads due to its size.
The team is here to assist with RoT issues first and foremost. If you have issues with other mods, you can visit the discord server for help.
Mods that change models (i.e Hot Butter) need to be loaded above RoT.

The flying dragons are still a work in progress. You can activate them before any battle if you are riding a dragon. Alternatively you can open the in-game console (alt + tilde (~) at the same time), type "config.cheat_mode1" and press enter, open your inventory and everything should now be available, and give yourself the flying dragon of your choice.
This is the correct load order in general:
Harmony
ButterLib
UIExtenderEx
Mod Config Menu
Native Modules ( Native, Sandbox Core, etc)
[MOST MODS]
ROT-Core
ROT-Content
ROT-Map
ROT-Dragon
The .dll file needs to be unblocked. Follow the file path in the pop-up, right-click on the .dll file, choose "Properties", check the box next to "Unblock" (located under the "Advanced..." tab), and click "OK". If the same pop0up occurs for multiple .dll files, do the same process for each. Additionally, some mods can assist with auto-unblocking these files (BLSE).
Check and make sure that the four RoT modules are in the Bannerlord “Modules” folder. If only the one folder labeled “ROT 5.0 for 1.2.8”, remove the folder, open it up, and take out the four folders inside (“ROT Content”, “ROT Core”, “ROT Dragon”, and “ROT Map”) and put those inside the Bannerlord “Modules folder. If this is correct, see the answer for question six (6) for different instructions. If you still have persisting issues, report it in the appropriate channel.
Yes, Banner Color Persistence (with BannerPaste), Moloch’s Duels, and Stop Starving Yourselves are built into RoT. You don’t need to download them.
There are two in-game ways you can obtain a dragon. The first is through Daenerys who has her three dragons: Drogon, Viserion, and Rhaegal. To acquire them, the player has to defeat her in battle and take her as a prisoner after. Then, talk to her outside of a settlement and there will be an option to steal one of the three dragons. You can do this up to three times. Be careful when you mess with Daenerys though!
The second way to obtain a dragon is through an NPC named Gimli in the city of Mantary. He will tell you of a man named Maegor who has a stolen dragon egg. Once you find Maegor wandering around the same city, the player is given the option to duel him with the reward being a red dragon. Be wary about when you choose to duel him since you only get this option once!
Additionally, you can cheat and give yourself a dragon as well as the flying dragon (still a work in progress which is why it’s not in the full release and only accessible through the cheat menu). See the answer to question thirteen (14) for further instructions.
Note: If you can obtain a dragon in some way other than those listed here, it’s probably due to another mod (i.e. Royal Armoury FIX)
The controls are as follows:
F = Fire Breathing
FLYING DRAGONS ONLY:
(NumPad) = take flight Hold Space (looking up) = ascend Hold Space (looking down) = descend (when close to the ground, the player will auto transition to ground state)
